Potty Time

If there is anyone out there reading this without kids you may not appreciate the marvel of this post. Some details of the birthday party last Saturday were neglected. Saturday was an incredibly busy day for the Khadjenoury's. Setareh's last soccer game of the season was at 10:15am which meant we had to be ready for all events of the day by 9:45am. Mommy was up early and downstairs doing laundry when Setareh appeared, sleepy eyed but ready for the day. A few minutes later Arian appeared covered in poop, announcing "mommy spill." Mommy followed the trail on the white carpet all the way up stairs and down the hall back to the bathroom. Setareh was so helpful and took Arian's diaper off then put him on the potty before leaving him to come downstairs. Who could be angry with such good intentions. I was quite thankful the steam cleaner vacuum was already upstairs and we have a shower head that I could use like a hose to wash the boy off.
So, today... Siamak is out of town, I have a nasty cold and as I finish feeding the kids I asked Arian if he needed to use the potty. Big boy made a pee pee in the big potty downstairs and Mommy left the diaper off while she cleaned up the kitchen because it is only a few minutes before the kids are in the bath. With fresh memories of Saturday I was stunned when Arian came to the top of the stairs and announced, "poo poo mommy." What was I thinking leaving that diaper off - idiot mommy! Setareh and I looked at each other before heading up stairs to investigate. Setareh and I both were pleased to find the white carpet still clean from Saturday and we were thrilled to find Arain made a poo poo in his potty all by himself!!!! HOORAY!!!
