Labor Day Vacation

Labor Day closes summer, sending it off with that last hurrah before the season change. We got away a little bit this Summer to Tahoe and camping but sometimes the best vacation is spent right at home. We made this long weekend into our own little stay at home retreat. While Sia and Setareh went on their zoosnoos I went to bed at 8:30 on Friday night. A perfect treat. No soccer Saturday, another treat. Our Sunday bike ride in Park City was the weekend highlight. I am not sure how we timed everything...right as we parked the car a huge storm blew in...ok with us, we just waited 30 minutes at Starbucks and we were on our way. After I found the path, we rode all the way to Deer Valley. Not as far as Sonoita to Patagonia -but we have to rethink bike riding when riding as a family. Setareh brought her bike and did a little riding too...despite the bug in her eye and a major tumble, she was tough and hung in there for quite a distance. The minute the bikes were back on the car...the rain began again - perfect timing, perfect day. Sleeping in, bike ride in the mountains, evening strolls to frozen yogurt with no rushing, no packing, no stress and all the laundry is done...I say this was a great weekend get-away.
