Happy Halloween

It was a mad dash home from Tahoe but we made it home in time for Halloween. We pulled into the driveway at 4:45pm, unbuckled the kids and began to carve! Four pumpkins carved in a 1/2 hour must be some kind of record. Kids were dressed and ready for trick-or-treating just a few minutes later and out the door they went. Waiting outside were the other circle ghouls and goblins anxious for the evening and impatient with the moms' and our cameras. Seterah went as a Flamenco Dancer - I told her if anyone doesn't know what that is- tell them you are a dancer from Dancing with the Stars...they'll know what that is. I thought Arian had the perfect costume to keep him all bundled up. I guess my fireman had turned into a Popsicle just before 8pm. He was so cold that he had gone into someones home and said he wanted to be inside...that's when Sia brought him back to warm up in our own home. I was very impressed with all the costumes this year - even the teenagers were rather decked out- The Ute fans...were my favorite and I told the BYU fan he had the scariest costume of all. Connie kept count of the trick-or-treaters and it seems we only had 65 kids. I think the haunted house across the street was probably much more appealing than than the trek through the circle. A teen age boy with a job and some creativity can make for some spooky hauntings. Sayeh and I enjoyed passing out the candy but I get so annoyed with kids who say...can I have 2? We had a ton of candy left over but if they are greedy little monsters I say NO. Very fun holiday and really not too cold this year. Happy Halloween.
