This afternoon I was in a meeting and began to nod off - to stay awake I counted the number of times I got up last night. Arian got up at 1am - from his cough...Sia and I were then awake until 3am. I left Sia on the couch downstairs and tried to get back to sleep but the pump in neighbor's' fake pond was out of the water and the noise sounded like a dragon snoring which kept me awake until I could finally get the pillow over my head to block the noise. Right as I had fallen asleep Arian got up again. I think I did fall back alseep about 3:45am. At 5am, Setareh was at my side complaining of a stomach ache, I can't even remember what I told her to do about it. At some point Sia came back to bed (I know because I woke up)and Arian came in around 6:15 announcing the sun was up and he didn't need to be in his special bed anymore. We have been getting ready for guests coming for the holiday and rearranging toys and
furniture (thus, no post yesterday...too busy, too tired). Arian likes to cook on Setareh's old kitchen so we moved it to his room and I added some other dress-up items. I was making a comment to Sia about the kitchen that is now in our son's room when he pointed out the items I had placed were really preparing him to be one of the Village People. Without much sleep...we found the whole thing quite funny.

I know it's common place in your home, but we got our first full night of sleep, all three of us, in weeks last night. Everyone was asleep by 10 and stayed asleep until 5. It was glorious to say the least.
We feel your pain in our home and hope a remedy comes soon.
