Thankful for Family and Friends Part 1

Wow! This has been an amazing Thanksgiving. Nonstop visits from family and friends from across the country. The crowd got so big for Thanksgiving Uncle Howard had to move dinner from their house to Lynn and Bruce's. Here's the list of visitors:
  • Trudy, Irv and Liz from Boise
  • Cathy and Frank from Phoenix
  • Fern from Pocatello
  • Steve and Karen from Denver
  • Rachel from Boston
  • Ellen from DC
  • Sahar home from a tour of China

As I have said before, Sahar completes us. All of the Khadjenoury's, both of my grandmother's, my parents, both of Aunt Clara's children and 3 of the 6 grandchildren, Aunt Anita's mother, her sister and brother-in-law all made Thanksgiving 2007 memorable. It was so nice! Uncle Howard is a talented chef and the Turkey was fantastic - everything was soo yummy and everyone had such a good time. I am quite Thankful that my family enjoys each others' company.

I loved the whole day from start to finish - We woke up late, watched some Macy's Day Parade. What's up with the parade coverage? My biggest disappointment of the day was the parade coverage -no coverage of the parade, just coverage of the broadway shows - what's up with that? I think we watched for 1 hour and saw 2 balloons and 5 songs. Later, the kids and I made some homemade breadstiscks and mashed potatoes while Sia cleaned the carpets (twice... Murpheys Law Prevails!). Another nice thing that may seem odd but I loved was that Suzie from next door needed oven space and brought over some of her Thankgiving preparations to keep warm -it was such a nice feeling! Overall, I am Thankful for all of my family and friends.
