Sleep Helps New Moms Fit into Their Old Jeans

All Things Considered, November 20, 2007 · A new study shows that new moms who got less than five hours of sleep retain their "baby weight" much more than women who sleep seven hours. Researchers say naps work, too.
As long as women in the study got their seven hours, they were able to take off most of their pregnancy weight-gain by their newborn's first birthday.

good to know! I lost all the "baby weight" (41 lbs of water) within six weeks after having Elliott. However, now I still need to deal with the 30 lbs I've put on since getting married. Can you find me some validation for that to make me feel better? I wish I could just sleep it off, too. :)
