On the bright side it makes for a good blog entry. I started the week-off with noble commuting intentions. Arian and I got up early Monday and rushed to the nearby bus stop to catch the 7:45am bus that goes right to the JCC. As I went to check the time, I realized I had left my cell phone at home - just then Setareh and Sia showed up bringing me my phone...but as I looked around and noticed a lot of cars parked and nobody else waiting I realized we must have missed the bus. So, we drove. I hate the drive, the wear and tear on the cars and the outrageous cost of gas.Today was another valiant effort. Sia drove me to the stop this time at 7:40 - there were a lot of people waiting, it was snowing too so I quickly hopped from the warm car to the bus. After I checked my email, sent a few emails and settled in to my book I was in an almost a Zen like state when I looked up. I was thinking how much I enjoy the quiet and the bus ride itself. I was looked out the window and I was a bit disoriented - I realized I was on 7th E. and I was on the 320 bus. - I was sure the bus would still go the U -but when the bus turned West on 2nd S. - my Zen like state turned to, "damn it, I am on the wrong bus." I got off downtown and headed to the train to get me to the U. I had to run in a non forgiving skirt and heels to catch Trax (where the weird people ride). I was pretty mad at myself but I could only look at the positive side ...this will make for a good post. uggh!
