On Saturday I had to do my ski evaluation to rap up the season at Brighton
. I respect a company that lives by its mission. I know Brighton Slide Academy's mission is to share the passion we have for our sport. I do enjoy skiing but spent a little time this year actually skiing. I had a pretty successful teaching season - it is no secret that the success was a result of my teaching skills and my ability to ski backwards. Unfortunately, I was not evaluated ON VIDEO on my teaching or backward skiing abilities. With 40 0ther instructors I was evaluated on my skiing. Ok - I skied the 1st run fine...need a little work but that was fine. Oh -the eval. was to point out all the GOOD things we do in our skiing. The 2nd run was a very steep, icy mogul run right under the lift. Ohhh the embarrassment of sucking on the moguls, and then falling and rolling on camera in front of soooo many colleagues and very good skiers. Nowhere to hide as Carolyn said, " Well, what good about her skiing?" I noted that my jacket fit nicely.
