When Siamak and I sat down to do the math to finance our trip to Lake Tahoe...it came down to $100 more to fly...so... off we went. The kids did very well on the plane. No screaming other than pure excitement about being on the "aehpane."Purchasing tickets on short notice meant little seat choice and when we arrived at the airport we had 4 seats all over the plane. I told the flight attendant that would be fine with us but they might have to refund the poor people who would have to sit next to Arian. Amazing how they got us all together and right up front. The only bad thing was Setareh got to see 1st class and really wanted the chips they were serving up there...she was not as impressed by the peanut snack as Arian.
On the way home Setareh asked if we would be sitting in, "1st aide or 2nd aide?" It took a few minutes to register and then I had to explain...Class. Poor Setareh, she is such a 1st class girl who had to sit in coach.

The flight home was also easy with the kids but retrieving the car from long term parking did not go so smoothly. I thought the advice from the shuttle driver was poignant, " When traveling with a family and a lot of luggage...send 1 person to the car and have the others wait for that person." What a genius...one detail missing from his instructions - make sure the person who goes to the car is the person who has the car keys. oops. After sending Sia to retrieve the car, I realized I had the car keys in my purse. Siamak got 2 shuttle rides for the price of one.
