Lake, Beach, Sand, Kayak, Resort = Fun Vacation!

More than just the baby to see we did almost everything there was to do in South Lake Tahoe and more. Uncle Al took us to their private beach where we stayed ALL day. The kids played in the sand (Siamak too), played in Uncle Al's kayak(Siamak too), played in the sand some more and just had a fabulous time. I took a short ride in the kayak myself...short because after I wedged myself into the thing (NOT I repeat NOT a mode of transportation designed for anyone with curves in the hip area) Allon says, "ok, in case you roll push here to get yourself out." It took me 5 minutes to get my body (big behind) into the tiny spot and then he says "in case you roll over!" ummm I would be dead. Allon and I didn't have the greatest visit but I didn't think he wanted to kill me. So, my ride was less than 5 minutes and Siamak held on to the kayak the whole time. That is not be a sport for me. I'll stick to skiing and other land oriented sports.
The next day we went to see where Uncle Al works...Kirkwood Resort. Then stopped at Caples Lake for a boat ride on the way home. A lake 1/8 the size of Tahoe and NO people it was great exercise (mostly for Siamak) as we paddled across the lake, skipped some rocks and paddled back across the lake. That wasn't enough for us when we got back to the hotel we cooked dinner,(found out Uncle Al is a baby expert after only 17 days, wow!)then we went swimming and played some mini golf. Setareh won a free game with her excellent shot at the end. I also observed Grandpa score a whole in one on the course. Arian used his "dolf" club more like shuffle board but played the whole course. The vacation was perfect. Setareh even had breakfast in bed. It was Grandma and Grandpa's Anniversary but as usual they gave us a great gift.
Click on the picture of Tahoe to see all the fun! (I uploaded the album all by myself...a huge tech accomplishment)
