Weekend Update

The Khadjenoury's need to thank Grandma and Grandpa for making such a nice weekend possible. Charlotte's Web, Purim Party and a Ski Date all made possible by Grandma and Grandpa...Thank you!

The weekend started off with a fun little hot tub adventure... on Friday night, we were tired and in the mood to take a soak in the big outdoor hot tub. Only one problem, hot tub out of commission while waiting for a new cover. We have a huge jetted tub in our bathroom that certainly would be wasteful if one person were to fill it for a bath, so...Sia created our own little spa for a revised version of hot tubbing. We donned our suits and just like we were heading outdoors, instead we headed upstairs for a relaxing treat in the jetted tub...would have been relaxing sans 2 year old who is learning to swim. Arian made every corner into a slide and splashed at least a gallon of water out of the tub - fun - not so relaxing.

Saturday we had to get all of our work and errands done early so we could grab a bite to eat with Grandma and Grandpa at the Pie before the Matinee of Charlotte's Web. Great fun! Arian was an very good boy and watched intently for about an hour and then with 15 minutes left he finally took a little snoozer (I think Grandpa did the same). After the performance Setareh had a photo op with the Actress who played Fern.
Without a sitter we were unable to meet-up for Margarita's with Cliff and Rosemary BUT soon we hope. We ended up staying much longer than expected at Kevin and Cathy's house warming party. Siamak doesn't like to go to parties where he doesn't know anybody but Cathy's right...This is Salt Lake City of course everyone knows everyone. While Cathy and Kevin define themselves as, "aging Hippies" and Siamak would never admit such a title...he has such a connected past with Cathy and Kevin and their friends. We knew lots of people at the party. Siamak knew people from his political action South America foreign policy protest days at the U and of course from KRCL and Zion Tribe folks...and I have a dear friend from Ski School from back in the day who is also a Cathy and Kevin contemporary. We had to head home early so we could get up for our big Sunday.
Grandma and Grandpa took Setareh and Arian to the Purim shin dig at the J so Sia and I could spend a morning on the slopes together. I had a great time and really enjoyed having a few hours for just the 2 of us. I think the kids had a good time too. - Grandma and Grandpa...I hope you had fun too. Thank you again.
